From the start, Oscar was extremely thorough - we wanted dry rot repairs done prior to the painting, and unlike the other bidders who only estimated how much dry rot they believed might be there, Oscar took out his ladder and tested all the wood trim on the exterior of the house (windows, gables, etc), then was able to bid exactly how much the project would cost, while the other painters only gave estimates that were subject to the carpenter finding more dry rot.
